why a KRE-O set is a great gift for kids

Wondering what would make a great gift for a child aged 6 and up?  Here is a great suggestion:  KRE-O sets.  Why are they so great?  Well--

1.  They have a great price range.  You can get a set for as little as $7.99.  If you are looking to spend more than that sets can be purchased for all the way up to about $60.  With that price range, however, you are sure to find one in your price point.

2.  Building sets like KRE-O are things that pretty much every child is interested in.  Even after they build up the set as intended, they can undo it and use their imagination to build up something entirely different out of the pieces.  Its not a toy that will quickly become boring.  Added bonus...KRE-O bricks WILL work with your Lego bricks!  Chances are your gift recipient already has some Legos, so this will help add to their building set collection!

3.  With sets featuring the Transformers, they are sure to please young boys!  Transformers are hot due to the recent movie.  Children will be wanting all things Transformer related.  KRE-O will fit that bill perfectly!

I would highly recommend KRE-O as a gift that will be appreciated this year.  And, by the way, right now you can even enter to win free KRE-O sets here

Toys like KRE-O are great to set out when you are having a gathering of people at your home.  Its something that will entertain children of many ages.  Even adults can join in the building fun!  What a great way to keep a lot of people happy at your next gathering.

What else can you do to ensure a successful gathering?   One key is to make sure everyone is fed.  Hungry people are not happy people.  If your gathering includes a  meal, make sure its served on time or when expected.   If your meal will be later than the "normal" meal time, like a lunch served at 2 p.m. rather than noon, make sure people are aware of the meal time.  Also, having appetizers and snacks available right away will help your hungry people stay cheerful.  This is especially true if children are at the event.  Children's bellies are very used to scheduled eating times and they do not do well when told they have to wait when they are very hungry.  So have finger foods available.  Also, make sure your menu includes things that all sorts of people will enjoy.  Fancy frou-frou type foods may please certain adults, but children will often be turned away by odd foods.  If you wish to serve such items, make sure their are kid friendly options available.  Cutting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches into small shapes would be something that would excite children.  Prepared, heat and eat chicken nuggets would be well accepted by most children.  Simple chip and pretzel type choices are good.  Remember, too, children love to dip and eat.  Simple kid friendly dips and sauces will be a hit.

And when serving foods remember you will need drinks too.  You may find individual serving containers work better for gathering rather than pour into a cup type beverages.  It makes it easier for people to carry.  They are usually more spill proof too.  Consider having a big variety available.  Soft Drinks, teas, 100% juices in bottles or drink box form, juice punches in drink boxes or pouches, and water bottles are good choices.  Remember to get some water bottles in the smaller 8 ounce size for children.  A 16 ounce water bottle is often wasted by smaller guests who drink 1/2 or less and tire of it.

Following those few simple tips can make for a great happy gathering!  I hope it helps you next time you are being Hostess!
