Instead of dressing on a salad

Have you read dressing ingredients lately?  The amount of preservative ingredients is a bit scary.  Also, while looking at that label, check those calories...wow.  Your super healthy barely any calorie salad for lunch turns out not quite so healthy and pretty calorie heavy!  You might like to try my no dressing solution.  I make this yummy avocado salsa and top my salad( that I have added a healthy dose of kidney beans to)with it and skip the dressing. 

  • 2 ripe avocado,
  • 4 tomatillos, husks removed
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup green onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2of a jalapeno, fresh, seeded
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large garlic cloves
  • 1/2 of a small onion

Preparation:

Scoop out the avocado from the skin and set aside. Remove tomatillos from husk and cut into quarters. Coarsely chop green onions. Process the avocados, green onions and the tomatillos with the rest of the ingredients for 2 second intervals in a food processor until only slightly chunky
