Timi and Leslie strollers

I found some great stollers today at the Baby Planet website. Check out the Timi and Leslie line. These are some great looking strollers.

Not only are they very stylish, they have great features as well. Look at this list:

# PVC-FREE Rain Cover
# Reversible, washable seat pad
# Lightweight aluminum frame
# Ultra-Compact fold
# Comfort-Padded 90% reclining seat
# 5 point harness with comfort covers
# Peek-A-Boo canopy window
# Adjustable leg support
# Angled Ergo-Grip handles
# 7" All Terrain wheels
# Front wheel swivel locks
# Auto fold lock
# Oversized storage basket
# 1 month and up
# Children up to 50lbs; 60lbs max weight
# Recycling Program

I really like the 50 lb weight limit on these. So many strollers have a lower limit and our children outgrow the stoller before they can take on walking all day without one.

They also have these fantastic diaper bags that match. I just love a well coordinated set.

I noticed on the website they have a double stroller line coming out soon! I am excited to see this.

What's even more exciting than discovering a great line of strollers? Well, winning one and a diaper bag, of course! Check out the giveaway here.

giveaway 4/20

If you are a nursing mother or plan to be soon I highly recommend Bravado nursing bras. I currently own a Body Silk bra from Bravado and it is so comfortable. Its my favorite. I also love that mine is red...gone are the days when nursing bras were only available in white.

Seriously, I know nursing bras as I have spent many many years in them since I am currently breastfeeding my 5th child. I don't see anyone being disappointed in the Body Silk. Bravado has a fantastic new bra out called the Bliss. Its perfect to wear under tees and with summer coming we will probably all be spending a lot of time in tees. I would love to try this great sounding bra out.

If you also think this sounds like the bra for you, you can enter to win at

Baskin Robbins giveaway

Not long ago in an area I go shopping often, there was a new section of shopping center going up. When the building got far enough to hang up signs of the incoming businesses I was so excited to see a sign for Baskin Robbins hanging there. I was so excited, in fact, I call my husband from my cell phone to tell him Prior to this there wasn't a Baskin Robbins anywhere within driving distance from us....and I LOVE Baskin Robbins! Sadly, however, I think I have been to this location once. I always have 5 children with me and a stop at a place like this becomes quite an expenditure! I am entering to win a $20 gift certificate prize at Blessing Abound in hopes to be able to visit my favorite splurge location soon!!

giveaways 4/7

Laundry occupies a Huge part of my life. I do about 6 loads a day. 5 kids. You have the school clothes, play clothes when they get home, and pajamas each day. My 5 year old always looks like his food attacks him when he eats dinner, so he usually has an extra shirt at least. My 2 year old is a disaster and always has a pile of laundry of his own each day. The baby doesn't do too bad with extra outfits...but I use cloth diapers so there is a few extra loads each week. They you have the dog bedding, throw rugs, sheets, towels etc. I have been very successful at making my own laundry detergent. One laundry deteregent has me wishing and wanting to buy, however. Its Rocking Green Soap. It promises to do a fantastic job at all laundry but was especially developed for diapers. Why am I so intriqued by it? Well its the scents! How would you like buttercream laundry? That's my favorite! Maybe you would prefer cherry almond? Grape Soda? Mango sorbet? Those are only a few of their terrific line up of scents. I am entering to win some Rocking Green from at Organic Girl.

My children would have a fantastic time in this playhouse. It has such great details on it. I love the little sink inside! has a great selection of playhouses (well imagine that). i am entering to win this one from The SHopping Mama.

Well WIshes Tea

I found this site the other day and thought it was really neat. Yogi Teas has a well wishes card offer. You can send a pair of teas and a well wishes message to someone. They will receive an email letting them know you sent them well wishes in e card format. Then they can select the teas they want to receive and a couple weeks later 2 tea bags arrive in the mailbox. I tested it out and sent one to myself and received my tea today. I haven't brewed it yet but am excited to try my Women's Nursing SUpport tea blend!

baby's first foods journal Review

When I had my first child I dreaded the time to start solids arriving. I was breastfeeding exclusively , which was going fantastic. I knew it was the best food available for him and he was thriving. The solids my son would eat would determine how he felt about food and nutrition for the rest of his life. It would determine his health and well being. It also was going to be more work for me. Breastfeeding all you had to do was sit down and everything was right there ready. I knew I was going to make all my baby foods so that would mean shopping for food, cooking food, processing it smooth, storing it etc.

I would have love to have the Baby’s First Foods journal back then! It’s a bound journal that is very thoughtfully organized with side divider tabs. There are tabs for grains, veggies, fruit, etc. There is an area to record weekly menus and a section for recording some of your favorite recipes.
I recorded each food I introduced my child to on notebook paper. I would write the food I fed and the dates I fed it. When I introduced my child to a new food I would feed it to him for 3 days before starting another. This journal is set up just for that. You record the food you try and there are columns for your first, second and third attempt. You can also check your child’s reaction to the food represented by various little faces (happy, straight faced, sad).

After your child is done getting introduced to foods you have a great keepsake to put with their baby book. Its also a great reference when you have your next baby. You can look back to see what order you introduced foods in and if your first had some signs of food allergies it’s a great reminder so that you could watch or delay your next on that particular item.

I am on my 5th baby now. I still like to record my baby’s journey into eating. She is just preparing to start eating now and I am excited to use her journal.

I know some parents don’t think through solids the way I do. Some people just hand baby food, baby eats it, case closed. I, however, always found it a daunting task. So if you are like me, you will absolutely love the Baby’s first foods journal.

I am doing this review for
